so i was readng Genesis. yes, im reading genesis again! (:
this time about Esau, first born of Isaac.
Esau was a mighty hunter, he was the first born and he holds the birthright.
A man with great future, waiting to inherit great blessing of God.
Esau's brother, Jacob wants the birthright.
He knows the power of the birthright Esau have, and wants it for himself.
Then he started to plot plans to 'steal' the birthright from Esau.
Eventually, Esau falls for it and lived with regrets.
does this remind you of our life?
we hold the birthright, the key to the blessings God have promised for us.
and just like Jacob, satan knows the power of the birthright. he knows very well how much harm the birthright can cause upon him.
mind you, satan is not dumb. in fact, he is very cunning and know us well.
he tempt us whenever he can, so we may sin and fall, to loss our birthright.
and each time we sinned, we are actually giving satan more power to control over us.
yes, we are.
